Honestly, I don't think Barack would dismiss Howard's initial idea to have him come on the show and engage in a debate. Obviously, the jokes about digging up Anna Nicole, Sal's Racoon Mask, etc., that would deter anyone. But I honestly believe that Stern has become such a veritable force in the media, that any politician would at least give it a few minutes of thought.
Not to mention that Stern himself got the Libertarian nomination when running for Governor of New York and only lost it because he wouldn't disclose his financial background. He has enough knowledge of the political system, as well as constant input from an enormous fanbase about the American people, especially about working class, which Obama probably doesn't come into contact with as much as Howard.
But that's just my opinion.

I agree with you..I know politicians are 'afraid' to do Howard's show, but I think that's based on his track record during his 'glory' years when he was about as inappropriate as inappropriate gets. He's much tamer now, but still has a huge fan base to offer. I highly doubt Barrack or Hilary would ever do the show, but I'd be willing to bet whoever had the guts to do it would become the leading candidate as a result. Typical, every day, voting Americans listen to Howard...they don't seem to realize that.
Regarding Howard having political knowledge...I don't think Howard has anything more than a laymen's understanding of politics, at best. He's tried to talk like he does, but once he attempts to get in depth, it's obvious he doesn't always understand what he's talking about.
Unfortunately, I don't think politicians truly have a good grasp on the American public...if they did, they'd certainly use Howard as a marketing tool.
