Fred "Elephant Boy" Schreiber is best known for his severe speech impediment, poor personal hygiene, and homosexual experimentation.

Schreiber works as an accountant in New York City, but originally hails from Cleveland. Fred was referred to the Stern show in the late 1980s by a coworker and Stern fan who thought Fred's speech impediment would be show-worthy. In September 2005, Fred recounted a story in which he soiled himself on a train to a public appearance with High Pitch Eric and Gary Dell'Abate. Rather than go home, he cleaned up as best he could in a restroom and attended the appearance, reeking of excrement.

Elephant Boy once called a dateline to solicit couples for swinging, with the stipulation that the male partner be bisexual or bi-curious but only succeeded in humiliating himself once a Stern fan alerted the show about the dateline voice message. Fred admits to picking up older, unattractive homosexual men, including ones with whom there was no mutual attraction, but they managed to sodomize him anyway. He has long been known to have an unnatural attraction to wrestlers, especially Cactus Jack.
