I brought up Robin Quivers' Rainbow Room shindig yesterday and whether it was everything she'd hoped it would be. Today on the Howard 100 News, Steve Langford reported that 200 people came. That sounds pretty successful at $350-$1000 per pop.
Langford interviewed Robin from the party (with classy piano music in the background.) She commented that the woman in charge of the Healing Bridges charity has been saying that Robin must go to Eritrea to see the people she's helping. Robin said, "Oh definitely, I've always wanted to go to Africa." Huh? Wasn't it just like two weeks ago that she said she wouldn't go because she's terrified of bugs or some other lame excuse? Who thinks she'll go to Africa now...or was it just a polite thing to say at the time?
By the way, when Howard said that this party would be like Robin's wedding, he was right. She gave a speech, was the center of attention, and was the star of the show.

I have a deep respect for charity...and will tread somewhat lightly because as long as people are being helped, there is no 'wrong' charity.
But...lol...
I'm not surprised Robin chose this route to 'give back'.
I think it's rather obvious that egomaniacs can't comprehend the true virtue of charity. But, good for her...she's helping people and drawing an endless supply of attention to herself...two birds, one stone.
I think I'll stop there and let people fill in the blanks.

Robin going to Africa will probably have the same outcome as the time she went to India. She got off the plane, saw where she was and hopped right back on.
