I've got a bad feeling about this......Does anybody else get the feeling from todays show that Howard might end up doing the show from his house. They were discussing the somewhat spontaneous show they put on from there houses, Howard was saying how he kinda liked doing it from his house and might consider doing a show in the evening here and there. I just got that same vibe I got when they took the occasional Friday off and then it became once a month then every other week, to its current status. It started out kinda the same way in my eyes, Howard mentioned he liked having that long weekend every now and then and it turned into a 4 day work week. Maybe I am over-reacting to this, but I just got that vibe...I would love to know if anybody else got that feeling.
Also while I am posting. I've mentioned this in a previous post. I mentioned that it seems like they just show up and its like their is no show prep and meetings about the next days shows since they went to sirius (back in the terrestrial radio days when ratings mattered) they used to have writers meetings everyday and prep for, write segments/bits for upcoming shows. It has been confirmed that there is no show prep nowadays as compared to terrestrial radio days. Last week they had the man boobs show and at one point Howard said that they would be having the man boobs contest on todays show and the response from Robin was of total surprise. If I recall she made the comment, that she was unaware that it was happening on that days show...Thats just rediculous!

I don't think Howard would be able to handle doing the show in those circumstances from a control point of view. He can't see who is on the line and can't control who's talking. I think he'd go crazy. He's had a real-live interaction with people as long as he's done radio so I don't think he could change at this point. If it were just him and maybe one other person doing a show, maybe it would work but not where the show is today. I could see maybe a Friday show (sans Howard) or something similar possibly going in this direction just because everyone is so lazy and may commit to doing it if they can do it in their houses.
As for the lack of prep, absolutely everyone just shows up and goes with the flow. I'm always surprised when a big guest comes in and no one had any idea it was going to happen. If I were in their position, I'd be interested to see who was going to pop in. They've completely lost their excitement for the show.

That does make sense, he does need to know what everybody is doing.....(can you say Control Freak)...Good Point!! There was another example of Robin not having any idea who was going to be on the show the other day when Jose Canseco was on. Howard mentioned Jose was going to be on the show that day and she replied "Oh Really, are you kidding?". Danica, I agree with you if, I were in their position I would want to get everybody together and come up with some interesting questions from several points of view to ask the guest. It is just so annoying now to hear a complete almost boredom, lets get this day over with mentality that has taken over since the Sirius move.......I just can't explain it other than complete lack of desire now that there is no ratings system as there was in the terrestrial radio days.
Also Artie didn't sound sick in any way shape or form on Tuesday, even though he was supposedly sick enough to be on antibiotics......what a joke.
