Howard Stern opened the show teasing the audience as to whether the former resigned Artie Lange was back. He was. Artie explained that it was all his fault, and apologized to everyone. He said that he got a lot of calls from people reaching out like David Spade, Norm MacDonald, and people from Sirius. Artie is supposedly planning to see a psychiatrist, and he talked about going to a diner and eating a mozzarella omelet with chocolate milk after he left.
Artie spoke about his trip to Amsterdam. He didn't see Teddy there, and didn't do heroin or sleep with any hookers. He did do pot, though, and he said that it was good.
Howard explained that he pulled the show last week because he didn't want to set off Artie anymore. Artie said that he could replay it and show it on Howard TV.
Howard said that Artie left him a few long messages, one of which Artie was crying through. Howard is thinking about playing them if Artie approves.
Riley Martin called in and said that he has re-signed for 6 months with Sirius. He said that he's happy Artie is back. Jeff The Drunk called in and said that he's happy about Artie being back, too.
Artie explained that Teddy is not his assistant anymore, but he's going to try to employ him on the road and for his website.
King of All Blacks called in to say that Artie was showing his resentment toward Howard rather than Teddy. Howard disagreed and said that Artie is nothing like Jackie.
Howard talked about Robin making the talk-show rounds. Howard talked about her dress on the View because he sleeves were attacked to her dress, and Howard didn't understand it.
Howard played a clip of Bill Maher dissing the Pope which has caused an uproar with Catholics.
Neil Patrick Harris came in to promote his new Harold and Kumar movie which Richard Christy is in also. Neil talked about being a fan of the show. He spoke about the good upbringing he had even growing up during Doogie Howser. He talked about doing Broadway and also being gay in Hollywood. He didn't give Perez Hilton a hard time for "encouraging" him to come out of the closet. He talked about sleeping with 12 or 15 girls, and they weren't bad experiences. His first gay experience was when he was doing "Rent." Artie talked about not caring if he had a son who was gay. Neil didn't think Britney Spears smelled when she did his show "How I Met Your Mother" despite what Mike Walker reported. Neil talked about dating Christine Taylor who's now married to Ben Stiller. Howard said that Mary McCormick called him to go easy on Neil because they are friends.
Howard played various news clips of Artie last week. Ralph Cirella called in several times to give various opinions. He talked about Robin not inviting him to her charity dinner. She said that it was an oversight, but he said that she's only friends with him when she doesn't have a boyfriend. Dominic called in after Ralph said that he had to eat a special meal at the event. He said that he couldn't eat what he was served.
Ed Torian called to say that he's happy Artie is back.
Teddy came into the studio and said that he doesn't want to commit to working for Artie in any capacity yet, but he's not angry. Artie talked about meeting with Mel Karmazin and Don Buchwald, and they were both very nice. Howard said that he had a personal problem last week and Buchwald made him feel better.
Jason Kaplan talked about Amsterdam. He said that they did pot even though Tim Sabean didn't want him to bring up drug use. He talked about how hot the hookers were.
A guy came in with his girlfriend to play "Win Fred's Money." He lost, and the hot, massage therapist got naked.
Howard speculated about what Jimi Hendrix would be like if he were still alive. Robin said that he'd be doing something like "Flavor of Love."
