I've watched this site for a long time....and it seems to be a showcase for people who are hating Stern(on the blog). I'm just not getting it. Yes, he's made it big. Yes, he's got more money than any of us will ever see. Certainly, as we all do, his view points might change over time. But bottom line is he's the best interviewer, it's the best comedic crew, this is just the funniest thing going. I don't get why anyone cares one way or another if he's living in the Hamptons or might change his opinion about a guest. This show has provided entertainment for how many years? Every moment might not be THE BEST, but why do we have to hear such angry comments about Howard all the time? Not everything in life will be as we want it. I too get a similar amt. of time off w/ my job. What is the problem? We should be happy to hear him as much as we do. Weekly programming on TV & radio sucks, and we can only be so lucky to enjoy a show once a week or once every so many days. Big f-ing deal. I say Get Over Yer Selves, Haters. Ask yourself what got you here in the first place?

It's funny you post this now...

I've done my share of 'waahhhhhing' on here about the show. There are aspects of the show that annoy me...but, I asked myself the same thing. Am I entertained? Yeah, I am, or I wouldn't listen.

I think some of my posts give off the impression that I'm a hater, and it's not a true snapshot of me as a HSS fan. I much prefer his show now to what it was in the early 90's when he spewed constant anger and rage. I actually appreciate aspects of Howard being a bit Hollywood now, because he's a bit more laid back and less annoying.

Change is tough for some...and yeah, the show has changed. I guess I just have to accept that things change...I do, so does everyone else. But, I still enjoy the show.

I do have to take you to task on one thing...Howard is NOT the great interviewer he boasts himself to be an apparently you buy into. He asks great questions, yes...but, he is NOT a great interviewer. Big difference. Howard needs to learn to sit back and allow his questions to be answered before he'll ever be 'great'...he cuts people off way too quick, often interjecting his own answer before the interviewee ever gets to. That's annoying and most of all it's BUSH LEAGUE. It contradicts the interviewer's purpose and he needs to work on that.

Its about getting my dollars' worth. I subscribed for Howard, nothing else. I "joined the revolution" for "no more bullshit" and I get Kathy friggin Griffin and Richard Cristy. They barely make an effort anymore. If I'm a hater of anything, I hate myself for continually waiting for an improvement.

I know for a fact that I'm nowhere near a hater. I get my Howard fix every single solitary day. I have a backlog of stuff that I haven't listened to. Love Robin's news segments. Huge fan of Artie. Fred is funny as heck when he pipes in.

But I am getting a little tired of the fact that a large percentage of the time is spent talking about their day to day minutiae or yelling and arguing with one another, and there are fewer and fewer skits or guests. It's too self-serving at times. When Howard starts droning on about the merger, he sounds like my grandpa talking about the war or something.

ts impressive you can be a fan of someone who doesn't bother to make an effort. If sleeping or missing time is entertaining then your bar is set way too low. They said they've passed on George Carlin recently but have been astute enough to bring us Kathy Griffin and Joan Rivers. At least you get the stylings of Sal and Richard.

I hear everyone's comment....maybe back in the day he said this, or he was more that, but no matter what....this is today. You don't like it, don't listen. No need to rip him up. I can honestly say there are days I'm not fully impressed with the show. But there are moments that rock. I can also say that I pay for DirectTV (or any other tv hook-up)...I am more annoyed with the shit there.....I can also say that I try AND I MEAN TRY to listen to reg. radio and I just can't do it. I'm not expecting every second to be great, but it's the best damn shit I can find for my money. Bottom line. Hence, me not getting the constant barrage of angry. Thank god we have this outlet....if not, who else?
