I still like the show but I too am getting pretty tired of Howard. Now that he's a rich asshole he's starting to act just like all of the people he so despised over the years and it's getting harder for him to pretend that he's one of us without revealing what a hypocrite he has become. By the time his contract is up there won't be anyone willing to come on his show except for the hookers and whack packers who only come because they're not smart enough to know that he despises them and is only using them.. I think he's one wave shy of jumping the shark. Listening on Fridays only highlights how much he has changed since he got rich and lazy. The current shows are not creative and have little content beyond talking about the t.v. shows he watches. I also think he's forgotten that most of his audience are people who work hard (8-12) hour days, sometimes 2 jobs and in some cases still struggle to pay the bills. As one of these people I'm really tired of hearing about how hard their jobs are......and how difficult it is for them to start work at 6:00 a.m. then work until 11 or 12 before heading back to their pampered lives. The other day, Howard didn't even have a clue how much a gallon of gas cost. He's too rich for us common folks and it's really showing. Now that I think of it.....he may have already jumped the shark !!

This is why he relies so heavily on people like Benjy, Richard and Sal to bring content to the show. They're the only people there that have a clue to how the 'real' world is.
The rest of them are just tired, old, rich folks. They take the jokes that their poor staffers write and use them as if they wrote them.
I do enjoy the show. But, it's not nearly as entertaining as it used to be.

Be realistic, when Howard had 20 million listeners every day five days a week, he had a vast pool of callers some of whom were hilarious. Remember Ian, the Drunk? I couldn't leave the radio when he came on and when he was finally dumped, I was horribly disappointed. I could have listened to him for hours without end.
Howard can't use his life as a fence for show any more. It's not funny (it's not fun!) to have him tell you of the fabulous house he's building and the fabulous apt. he has and some other fabulous facets of his life (he probably has other homes that he doesn't want you to know he has). He's almost a billionaire; is there anything funny in that?
There are shows on TV that show the homes of the wealthy and they are not funny. Howard is at the top of his game which is not a funny position to be in. What makes a person or their life funny? It's the trials and tribulations and he doesn't have any.

A guy named Sean called the Wrap Up Show today 5/22/08 I haven't listened to Howard at work lately - but the last couple of weeks I have been listening. Sean called the wrap up show and said how boring the show is and how all it does is promote the gay cause. Gary stutterred his way through some BS answer - but I have to agree - to quote Howard the show is a snooze fest. They jump from subject to subject and really don't discuss anything and to tell the truth when he was at K Rock I used to cry I was laughing so much - in the past couple of weeks I think I laughed once. He keeps talking crap about Stuttering John but at least when he was on the show it was funny. I would like to see a mass exodus starting with Richard and Sal (Richard just plain gross and Sal just plain unfunny). I would also like to see a ban on any call from Berry Face Ralph, Eric the midget, Alice & Blue Iris. It sounds like Howard doesn't want to be there and can't wait to get the hell out. Maybe he should think about retiring if he is that bored. I think he jumped when he went to Sirius and became a billionare
