I really can't stand when Greg Fitzsimmons comes on the show.
His presence just seems to suck all the creative and comedic juices out of the studio. He's boring, he's whiny and he's downright annoying.
If Howard insists on having him on as a guest, it should not exceed once or twice a year...and NEVER allow him to sit in on the news, he RUINS it, always interrupting people with some lame, predictable, unfunny anectode.
There's my two cents...

I like Greg Fitzsimmons, and I guess I get his dry humor, but only in small doses. I thought it was strange that Artie was so quiet while Greg was in. Have you noticed a quieter, more subdued Artie?
And this OT, but it seems like Howard has less content (guests, bits, etc.) and more of him just busting his staff's balls. On last week's show he was tearing into everyone. What's up with that?

I thought it was strange too how quiet Artie was. It got me thinking during the spot...does Artie not really like Greg or is he just trying to sit back and not steal Greg's thunder?
I can appreciate dry humor...I actually really like Bob Newhart and Bill Cosby as comedians...I just don't 'get' Greg. Doesn't do it for me.
Also, Artie seems to be 'trying' to behave...but, the real Artie still sneaks out here and there. I'm thinking it's just a matter of time before he's back to 'Artie'...Howard even noticed him getting tired the other day and asking him if he needed a nap...lol
Yes, Howard is definitely laying into the staff more. I mean, he always has, but it's almost like he's upset about something lately and is misdirecting his frustration on everyone in the studio. As successful as Howard is, it's kinda weird to see just how immature he can be at times.

I don't know if they all came to an agreement to back off Artie and give him his space or if he's on meds or if Howard decided to dole out his hatorade evenly amongst the staff. But most of this week and last week I noticed fewer guests and a lot of Howard just nagging about Benjy's behavior, Robin's relationship with Jim and just general bitchery.
I have heard Greg occasionally on the show and he's really funny in a creepy way. He goes places that are really bizarre and make Howard uncomfortable. I thought Greg's little tiff with Dave Navarro at the AVN Awards was hilarious. I would love to see those two get in a room together. You can cut the sexual tension with a knife.
