Monday's Howard Stern Show came and went without a peep from Stuttering John Melendez. Why do I bring this up when the show hasn't heard from John for years since he went to work for Howard's arch-nemesis Jay Leno? It's because Howard Stern's producer Gary Dell'Abate hinted at something big in the works happening today related to Stuttering John.
It all started when John went on the Adam Carolla Show and talked in a not-so-nice light about his time working on the Stern Show, especially when it came to money. Howard lost it on the air but still allowed Bubba the Love Sponge, who works on Howard's Sirius channel, to interview John. Bubba asked all the tough questions, but there was no feedback from Howard.
Howard didn't bring up the Bubba interview the next day on the air, and Gary was asked the reason during the Wrap-Up Show. He said that Howard just didn't get to it, but, according to Gary, something big was going to happen today. Well, nothing happened aside from an article in Page Six which quoted Howard Stern ranting about John. It's especially embarrassing to Howard because it quotes him saying that he's going to speak to his fiancee Beth Ostrosky about her friendship with John's wife Suzannah.
So, is this big thing still in the works? Can we expect to hear from the horse's mouth? I think it's becoming less and less likely. John knows that Howard will be completely brutal. In the meantime, John is getting a ton of exposure for his new National Lampoon's movie "One, Two, Many." Maybe he was aware of the severity of his words before he did Carolla.
