Listening to Baba Booey talking about what he's been through with his LIFEbeat charity, I have to offically say that Gary Dell'Abate a good guy. He had to be in a bored meeting talking about Artie Lange and his gay slurs with probably stuffy charity people. Geez, I have to give him props. I was also glad to see that he admitted that he took the side of the charity bored. There was nothing else he could do. Artie was out of line, and I'm glad to see that their are repercussions. Next week it will continue with George Takei.

When Ralph called in and Gary briefed him on what was happening with all of this, Ralph said that it's probably a good idea since Artie throws around the word "fag" all the time. It must be pretty bad if Ralph sees the logic.

I think Gary is probably one of the more approachable people from the show. He seems to have retained his 'regular guy' attitude is actually a pretty open minded person.

I don't think Artie is purposely attacking the gay community...but he's really gotta find another word to use to insult people with. He relies way too heavily on gay references.

What he means to say is 'dork', 'nerd', 'whimp', 'loser'...so why not just use those words instead of 'fag' or 'queer'? Artie's way too funny and nice of a guy to allow himself to appear homophobic.

You hit it right on the head. Artie's not homophobic. He really just throws around those words because that's how they insult people where he grew up. Unfortunately, his actions are starting to take a toll.

What is the most troubling is that Artie is a smart guy, and he is able to control what he says. This is just his stubborn streak coming out. He managed not to swear on terrestrial radio so he can avoid saying gay slurs. He just doesn't want people to tell him that he should, and when they do, that just makes him less likely to stop.

Yeah, and I have to admit, I can relate to Artie's logic. He's got a thin skin and is a sensitive guy. He doesn't like High Pitch Mike, so he's not going to admit he's wrong. Sometimes when we know we're wrong, we get stubborn and act even more the fool.

I guarantee he feels bad about the situation, but doesn't want back off and give HPM a 'win'.
